About Us:
The Overland Park Historical Society was organized on September 30, 1994 for the purpose of identifying and preserving the history of Overland Park and the surrounding area.
We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary in 2019 and we have big plans not only for this year but for the future. The Board of Directors recently purchased the Suburb Decorations building on 1801 Santa Fe Drive to preserve the remnants of the Strang Depot hidden within the current structure and to combine our museum, offices and research all under that historical roof.
