Guidelines for Media Members
If you are a member of the media and would like to request high-resolution images for use in reviews and articles and/or would like to receive the Overland Park Historical Society media releases electronically, please contact us or call Discover O.P. at 913.381.8867.
Personal Use and Recreational Photography at the Museum
- General non-flash photography is permitted in Discover O.P., subject to the conditions below. Photography of special exhibitions or works on loan to Discover O.P. may be prohibited by lenders; additional guidelines will be posted.
- Casual, in-the-moment photos are for personal use only.
- Must use handheld cameras, phones, or tablets with the flash turned off.
- No tripods, monopods, supplemental lights, selfie sticks, or other external equipment or props may be used.
- Images may be posted on personal social media sites so long as they are not used for profit. Please tag Discover O.P. on social media #DiscoverOP.
- Images taken at Discover O.P. may not be sold or published.
- Images taken at Discover O.P. must not be used for promotion.
- Images must be taken behind stanchions or other barriers.
- Taking photographs must not disrupt other visitors enjoying Discover O.P.
