What You'll Discover
At Discover O.P., Overland Park’s history unfolds through a changing mix of exhibits, photographs, artifacts, and stories drawn from the community and its past.
Learn about the years from Native Americans calling the area home through the vision of William Strang for a park-like community far – but not too far – from the city through the post-war years of suburban growth to today.
Explore historic images and objects, discover familiar places as they once looked, and experience interactive displays that invite you to dig deeper into the stories behind them. With frequent new exhibits, there is always more of Overland Park’s story to discover.
