On August 15, 2019, OPHS purchased the Suburban Decorations building located at 8001 Santa Fe Drive in Downtown Overland Park. It is an ambitious project for the Society that we felt was important to our historical preservation. At first look it was a retail store but we knew beneath the plaster, and additions, stood the original Strang Depot. As restoration has begun, and more of the Depot has been exposed, we are seeking your tax deductible donations to complete our vision for this important historical building in Overland Park.
